hello, i would like to enable soft keys on flux ROM, but due to R/W issues it isn't as simple as editing a build.prop in a root file explorer. can anyone help me find a way to enable soft keys and disable the capacitive buttons? id like to keep the home LED as a notification LED but disable the capacitive vibration and back light on back home and multitasking when pressed, leaving the device with a Notification LED like the Nexus 4/5 has.

Many thanks :)

Well... You can make a flashable zip.

Just out of interest why take up valuable screen estate when you've got the physical buttons there? Seems a bit counter productive.

I do not like the capacitive touch buttons, I have managed to enable softkeys but still can't disable capacitive.

In theory, download a tweak zip and edit add_to_buildprop.sh file. Delete all lines and paste:

#!/sbin/sh

busybox echo "qemu.hw.mainkeys=0" >> /system/build.prop

Save it and flash via twrp.

This is just a strong theory and I haven't tried.

You can download an example tweak from here: https://yadi.sk/d/5JhGj4kqkxFAp

Download this and do what I say. And remember! Always make a backup before you do anything.

Also you can delete what you don't want in zip file.
