Guest Ozomax1997 Posted December 30, 2015 Report Posted December 30, 2015 (edited) hello, i would like to enable soft keys on flux ROM, but due to R/W issues it isn't as simple as editing a build.prop in a root file explorer. can anyone help me find a way to enable soft keys and disable the capacitive buttons? id like to keep the home LED as a notification LED but disable the capacitive vibration and back light on back home and multitasking when pressed, leaving the device with a Notification LED like the Nexus 4/5 has. Many thanks :) Edited December 30, 2015 by Ozomax1997

Guest wbrambley Posted December 30, 2015 Report Posted December 30, 2015 Try gravitybox using xposed framework.
Guest BlueMoonRising Posted December 30, 2015 Report Posted December 30, 2015 Just out of interest why take up valuable screen estate when you've got the physical buttons there? Seems a bit counter productive.

I'd love to if I knew how In theory, download a tweak zip and edit add_to_buildprop.sh file. Delete all lines and paste: #!/sbin/sh busybox echo "qemu.hw.mainkeys=0" >> /system/build.prop Save it and flash via twrp. This is just a strong theory and I haven't tried. You can download an example tweak from here: https://yadi.sk/d/5JhGj4kqkxFAp Download this and do what I say. And remember! Always make a backup before you do anything. Also you can delete what you don't want in zip file.
Guest Ozomax1997 Posted December 30, 2015 Report Posted December 30, 2015 I don't have access to a computer so I can't do that :(

Guest nhmanas Posted December 31, 2015 Report Posted December 31, 2015 @Ozomax1997 try this. Just flash via twrp https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B5vFBynonvGVcnlON2s4b1RSTkE This isn't just soft keys enabler. It's also a adblocker and zipalign thing.. I just edited build.prop for no harming device
