Hudl 2 Charging problem

Hi my girlfriends Hudl 2 has an unusual charging problem. When in use the charge level displayed stops changing and it will not alter if charged or left in use. If it is left in use it will eventually shutdown as the battery has drained. This doesn’t happen all the time but seems to happen mostly when it is left to fully charge. Fully charging again seems to resolve the issue, until the next time. This problem has existed in KitKat and after a recent Lollipop update. I have tried installing Battery Monitor Widget but the same battery levels are displayed. We have also preformed a factory reset, no change. Has anybody else expired a similar issue and do you have a resolution?

You could give this a try.

Let the battery drain until the tablet powers itself off.

Plug it in to charge, but do not turn it on.

Leave it at least 6 hours or overnight on charge.

Once it is fully charged turn it back on and do the same thing use it until it powers itself off, don't charge it again before then, then charge it again while turned off.

This should recalibrate the tablet to the battery, if this doesn't solve the problem then you probably need a new battery.
