Guest Cryptochrome Posted March 13, 2016 Report Posted March 13, 2016 So this has been going on for a while now. I put my phone on charge when it's around 30 to 40%, at the end of the day. I keep it on charge overnight and when I go to get it it's only charged to 87%! Yesterday I let I drain all the way to 0% then let it charge overnight again. When I get it: 79%! Anyone got the same problem? Any suggestions? Help will be appreciated. Thanks

Guest BlueMoonRising Posted March 13, 2016 Report Posted March 13, 2016 Try a different charger to rule that out of the equation first.

Tried that last night, still only charged to 89%. So I guess that rules out the charger but the weird thing is that I can get it to charge to 100% if I take it off charge, turn the phone on, and then put it on charge for about another 15 minutes.

It's not going to charge 13% or more in 15 minutes so that sounds like more of a calibration issue. I don't know if clearing the dalvik cache would affect that or not (I suspect not) but it's a no harm idea. There is the ultimate factory reset option but I know that that would be a pain and possible not help anyway. Actually, re-flashing a 5.1.1 rom would be the ultimate reset but that seriously would be a pain..

You know when people say to backup your phone before flashing a ROM whether it be custom or otherwise - after the flash can you kinda merge the data? Because what's the point of the backup then if after you've wiped you can't get your stuff back how it was?

Actually, re-flashing a 5.1.1 rom would be the ultimate reset but that seriously would be a pain.. I've realised what the problem is: my phone can't hold charge until it gets to about 87%. Charged it fully last night then put it in flight mode and turned it off fully. Even though it was in flight mode it says that I was connected to WiFi the whole night as you can see below: So basically I don't think there's much I can really do apart from live with it. :( Thanks for your help though :)
Guest BlueMoonRising Posted March 18, 2016 Report Posted March 18, 2016 That's peculiar to say the least, I can't work out if you've got 2 separate problems there, 1 being the battery and the other being the WiFi. You could maybe try 'forgetting' all of your WiFi connections on the phone and reconnecting. Perhaps that'll jolt something awake.
Guest marszyszk Posted March 24, 2016 Report Posted March 24, 2016 I have the same problem with this phone. Tunred off, charging overnight and at the morning showing 85 %. Charger was tested and is ok, phone was in the vodafone service they found faulty component and replaced it but after I get phone back was the same. Send back to the service but they didn`t find faults, phone still didn`t charg fully. Send again and still the same, they didn`t find faults... Phone still didn`t charg fully and when turned on, disconnected from charger and connected again is charging up to 96% and showing phone charged.

You'll find that he keeps coming back telling everybody what a crap phone it is and how we've all wasted our money. He usually claims to have sold his on for a profit since he's so much smarter than us dumbo's. Pathetic little man. Just do what I do and put him on ignore, although annoyingly you get to see his rantings if someone else quotes him.

Funny, this comical little guy seems to feel compelled to jump into any thread where I've commented, and provide a dialogue pertaining to me. If I didn't like someone's attitude that much, I surely wouldn't be looking for opportunities to reference them or acknowledge that I was aware of them, or their comments. I sense a chip on his shoulder, possibly a giant sack of potatoes. If you do not like someone's behaviour online, it seems a little obsessive-compulsive to make it your missing to go around "spreading the news" - I thought you didn't like them? Wow.
