Proximity Sensor with Screen Protector

Hi, I just purchase a Vodafone su3. I also purchase a nice flip cover and downloaded Easy Smart Cover to allow the screen to switch on when I opened the cover using the proximity sensor.

No problems, open the case screen lights up, perfect!

I then fitted a screen protector and the smart cover no longer works. I used a paper punch to cut a hole in a new screen protector where the proximity sensor is located and fitted it and everything works as it should.

So, I have a problem where the proximity sensor does not work when a screen protector that covers the proximity sensor is fitted.

Does any body else have this problem? If you have a screen protector fitted with no proximity sensor problem please advise where you bought the screen protector from?

The proximity detector should turn the screen off when you make a call and hold the phone up to your ear.

I would really appreciate it if anybody has fitted a screen protector to verify that the proximity sensor is working the next time you make a call?

Can only say that with my tempered glass screen protector everything is working as normal. Might not help but nobody seems to be answering you so thought I would.
