Guest tbr Posted April 19, 2016 Report Posted April 19, 2016 Hi everyone! I've had my Hudl2 since about October, and it's all been working fine. I hadn't used it for about a month until last night. I charged it up and turned it on. The unlock screen was corrupted, so I rebooted as turning things off and on is a fried and tested method of getting things to work :) but then it seemed to be stuck in a loop, never reaching a useable state. Eventually a recovery menu appeared, I decided I may as well wipe it and start fresh, so I did.....it still never reached a useable state and kept rebooting. So I wiped it a few times and still it seemed to be stuck in a boot loop. So I wiped it one more time and now nothing, it won't turn on, there's no charging light when it's plugged in, holding in the power button does nothing, holding in volume up and power also does nothing. So is it dead? If not what plan of action do I have?
Guest AV2012 Posted May 12, 2016 Report Posted May 12, 2016 That sound like an issue with the Motherboard. This is one of the trickiest things to replace in the Hudl 2. You can get replacement Hudl 2 Motherboards on eBay, normally for about £35. However, you'll need to be handy with tools and micro connectors to do this. It might be a better option to sell the broken Hudl 2 and buy a refurbished replacement.
