Guest edwardlobo Posted April 24, 2016 Report Posted April 24, 2016 My phone asks for PUK code I took the code from Vodafone however the phone does not accept it. The sim card works perfectly fine in another phone. My partner has a vodafone and her sim when put into my phone also asks for puk code I complained to vodafone so they gave me another phone and let me keep this. I dont know if there is some setting I played with as it was working fine when I first received it.
Guest BlueMoonRising Posted April 25, 2016 Report Posted April 25, 2016 (edited) There is a 'Sim Card Lock' feature within Settings>Security but I'm reluctant to go any further than that just in case. The PUK is related to the SIM itself however so why your phone seems to think it's set and other phones don't is peculiar. Edit: maybe something you've already tried but there's some decent sounding suggestions here: https://community.boost.com.au/t5/Setup-Device-Support-KB/My-phone-is-asking-for-a-SIM-Pin-PUK-code-How-do-I-find-where/ta-p/5603 https://support.t-mobile.com/thread/81457?start=0&tstart=0 http://www.galaxys4forums.net/forum/12-galaxy-s4-help/836-lock-sim-card.html https://iihelp.iinet.net.au/SIM_Card_errors_and_finding_your_PUK_code Edited April 25, 2016 by BlueMoonRising

Try the links in my post immediately before yours. The person who started the thread had to swap his phone out though.
Guest yaspar5 Posted June 12, 2016 Report Posted June 12, 2016 Thanks. But here the problem is that i have PUK code number but as u can see the "keyboard" does not show up to type the code, whereas on wifi i can use the phone and type emails messages etc as there is nothing wrong with the keyboard and its working fine. So in short what is the solution to make the keyboard show up to type the PUK code? Thanks
Guest BlueMoonRising Posted June 12, 2016 Report Posted June 12, 2016 Ahh, I was wondering what the 'Priv' bit was. Sorry couldn't help you with a Blackberry, try a Vodafone shop maybe.
Guest Gamst Posted August 6, 2016 Report Posted August 6, 2016 HI, Tried to put a danish simcard in a brand new locked phone. Ask for pin, but would not accept it... Tried to many times. Now it is asking for a PUK code (8 digits). Bought a network unlock code on ebay, but too many digits. Sim card is ok. Tried 3 different sims, all ok in other phones. Both with PIN on and off.. SU6 still asks for a PUK ? Right now trying to bruteforce through ADB and a perl script. It's will take allmost forever, as the phone needs a 3 sec. pause between every PUK entered. I will update wether or not I will succeed my BF attemp.
Guest yaspar5 Posted August 6, 2016 Report Posted August 6, 2016 I finally got my problem resolved as I got the unlock code from my network operator Vodafone

I'd go to a Vodafone shop and ask them, it should be quicker.
