Can't root SU6.

I've spent the last 5 hours trying to root this device to no avail. Tried everything i can find on the internet, and i could do with some help.

What is my next option for getting this rooted? Also when i flash update.zip via stock recovery it makes me put my gmail account back in as it says its been factory rest, this isn't re-installing the ROM again.. how do i fully delete the rom then re-install it so i can skip putting in google details?

Also how would i update/reinstall recovery without root?

I had the same problem , it took me days to root , in the end I just kept trying King Root , powering down the phone just before it failed then re booting seemed to work , then checked root , installed superSU , booted to TWRP and installed CM . just persevere with King Root , it will stick eventually . the PC version was no better for me .....

This phone is just trash. I've had a lot of Android devices, Samsung, HTC, Nexus, LG etc and i've never once had a problem getting full root with r/w system.

On this phone i get root just not r/w permissions, which means Xposed/Adaway is a no go. I've followed all guides on here and none have worked. No idea where to turn to next, may be back to the shop to take the phone back.

...That is not fair, you can't just say the phone is trash just because you can't do everything you want with it! I had two flagships before this phone,  a Samsung Note 3 and a LG G4, and all I can say is that this phone is simply amazing for the price. I have root,  custom rom and I'm impressed,  it's definitely a keeper for me. Just stop throwing false judgements around,  there are hundreds of happy SU6 out there.

When you install Root Checker from the Play store does it say your device is rooted correctly or not ? Can you try that .

I think you can achieve a temporary root via KingRoot on the desktop. Try using this to install TWRP. Then use TWRP to either install a custom ROM and/or root via SuperRoot. Not sure if root will work perfectly after though. NOTE: I am a newbie at most of this so...
