Guest MacBravO Posted August 6, 2016 Report Posted August 6, 2016 (edited) Recently I got a gift of a Vodafone Smart Device Ultra 6 Spanish. I moved with my wife and children to Brazil, and is something strange going on with the SIM card from different providers: • "Claro BR Carrier": Works normally. It was virtually "Plug and Play" without further complications. • "Vivo Carrier": The phone detects the Sim Card, but is disconnected and Ranging "Emergency Calls only" not being possible to carry out any calls or other services. My question is, my phone is unlocked? Because usually works with a provider in Brazil without complications, with only SIM CARD "VIVO" have problems. I need to use this Provider of telephony specific, it is the one who takes on amazon, and I'll be on tour for 7 days. For more detais, ive filmed the issue: ´ Edited August 7, 2016 by MacBravO insert
Guest BlueMoonRising Posted August 6, 2016 Report Posted August 6, 2016 (edited) There has been issues with some sim cards being too thin which can be solved by 2 or 3 layers of tape carefully trimmed on the back of the sim. I'd try that first. Edited August 6, 2016 by BlueMoonRising

Guest BlueMoonRising Posted August 7, 2016 Report Posted August 7, 2016 Try going in to settings and changing the 'preferred network', you may want to try one that isn't Vivo as they can handle roaming calls differently than others.
