Custom Recovery Required

I am using Stock Gingerbread in my G300 . Could anyone suggest me a Custom cwm recovery compatible with Stock Gingerbread ROM ? I haven't rooted the phone . Is rooting necessary ? I am thinking of flashing cwm recovery using fastboot commands in fastboot mode . My phone has a broken touchscreen which cannot be repaired . I am trying to recover data and looking for ways to flash a custom recovery without wiping my data . So I am looking for a custom recovery which is compatible with stock rom and will automatically enable usb debugging after flashing it .
