samsung adoptable storage using adb is not working

i was trying to get more storage with my sd card using android debug bridge on my pc i have completed every step from paul modaco's article but nothing happens my internal storage and sd card is still separate. I have samsung galaxy a7 2016 model running marshmallow i have 16 gb so it kinda sucks for me so if anyone can help me please help me
