Guest mtdb Posted February 14, 2017 Report Posted February 14, 2017 Hi! I am trying to change the partition size of my Hi10 Plus and it seems that i need to edit the gpt.bin file. The problem is that the file I have from the Android ROM downloaded from Chuwi shows a lot of weird characters in note pad or word pad. I have also tried to open it with HEX editor and I still see this weird characters. Is there a way to fix it? The file is attached here. Thank you for your help! gpt.bin

Guest PalmTrees Posted February 17, 2017 Report Posted February 17, 2017 Have you asked over at XDA? Or at Techtablets forum?

Thank you for the suggestions I've asked at the Techtablets forum but nobody has replied... There is no specific Chuwi forum at XDA. Any idea of where I should post it?
Guest KonstaT Posted February 18, 2017 Report Posted February 18, 2017 It's a binary file and there's nothing weird about it. Hex editing partition tables is probably not something you should be doing and you could potentially mess up your device pretty bad. Either way, here's an useful post.

Thank you! Perhaps I can use one of the gpt.bin files available there.
