SD format problem

I just inserted my SD (that I've been using for over a month now), and it just asked if I wanted to format it so that the phone could use it! I have no problem with formatting it (although I'll wait till monday for the update to hard reset my phone first), but it just seemed so strange.

Mine did that last week, but I think that the card had come out and was only half in (not sure if this is possible but it didn't seem to be all the way out or all the way in either). I just said no and it let me carry on as usual and still could read everything from the card.

Could be the battery was low that would lose some data

Mine did that once, but it worked after i took it out and put it back in.

Mine didn't fix when taking it out and putting it back in, but after formatting it it works fine.

Normally happens when you've backed up something from the canary screen to the card. Then when u put it into the phone when it's running normally it asks to format it.
