Guest Emad Posted April 11, 2003 Report Posted April 11, 2003 I had a virus on my computer sending out e-mails so I deleted my address book as a precaution, thinking I could just sync with my phone and get them all back.. So I plug my phone in after the virus is cleaned out, hit sync and the stupid thing clears out all the phones contacts and puts the 1 contact on the computers address book in! 200+ contacts all gone! Looking in the activesync options, for conflicts it has for conflict always replace item on computer. Am bloody pissed off, grr..
Guest fraser Posted April 11, 2003 Report Posted April 11, 2003 Good tip for anyone else though...get the option set to "leave unresolved" and it'll ask you what to do if it is not sure. Open ActiveSync, go to options, then it's in the "Rules" tab.
Guest casper508 Posted April 11, 2003 Report Posted April 11, 2003 Thats why Orange Backup/Restore is there matey. Has saved me a few times already. Anyways, sorry for your loss  Cas

Guest casper508 Posted April 11, 2003 Report Posted April 11, 2003 OCS 'might' be able to track it down for you. Have you given them a ring? Worth a try. Cas
Guest mike-oh Posted February 10, 2004 Report Posted February 10, 2004 Makes bugger all difference whether u choose to leave the conflict unresolved or not!! I just accidentally deleted a gals number, i synced to get it back and it deletes it off my PC, fooking STUPID!!
Guest Disco Stu Posted February 11, 2004 Report Posted February 11, 2004 Orange will tell you they have no access to your username / password. Best to keep it simple and obvious. After all, it's not a big security issue. I had to enter dozens of combinations of my usual details before I cracked it
