Ok Ive got a few hudls my grand kids use one being a hudl 1 we recently changed broadband so had to update the hudls except the hudl 1 wont update just keeps saying check network even though it's connected and ive done wps. So rather than chucking it in the bin I thought i'd try wiping the tablet and load linux using a datea cable conected to my lappy. If this can be done can anyone give us a walk through or link showing how to do this? I don't want to chuck away a perfectly good working tablet if i don't have to.

The problem is not your broadband. 

Hang fire on installing Linux and check out this thread.
