Advice on headset compatibility and adapters

Greetings:

I want to use a different headset than the one provided with the SPV (constantly falls out of my ears, need one with an over-the-ear support mechanism).

I was told on the forum that, in order to use a standard 2.5 mm headset, you need an adapter (4 conductors to 3 conductors, stereo to mono). Can someone recommend me such an adapter (did not find one yet). any brand, url, vailable?

On another note, headsets for the Nokia 3300 and 8000 series are 2.5 mm, 4 conductors. Does anyone know if the pinout is identical and if they are compatible? anyone tried?

www.maplins.co.uk supply 2.5-3.5mm jack converters, which work fine.

From what some people have said it seems the impeadence of nokia headsets is too great to be used with the SPV :/
