Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted February 23, 2003 Report Posted February 23, 2003 Everyone seems to be making SPV-orientated websites in their spare time, i was thinking of doing similar but i'm too lazy and it would take too much effort to come up with something original :) So i decided to stick with simplicity. The page you see at the link below is a list of all freeware available for SPV. Anything missing means i either looked over it by mistake or i'm still waiting for permission from the writer to host it there. If you want me to host your software or find any problems with the site below please email me at [email protected], cheers. Enjoy: www.monolithix.org/SPV_software.html
Guest Cent Posted February 23, 2003 Report Posted February 23, 2003 Nice one ... I was wondering if Paul would ever put up a page that just has a simple link to all the apps available. Now I guess he doesnt need it :)
Guest youngerpants Posted February 23, 2003 Report Posted February 23, 2003 well done Mono, saves me the effort of having to point friends all over the place when as get their spv's (coveting thy neighbours phone and all that) just 1 I've spotted you missed, the port of ScummVM http://www.modaco.com/viewtopic...highlight=scumm I'm still amazed I have samnmax on my phone :)
Guest Moodj Posted February 23, 2003 Report Posted February 23, 2003 ;) Very nice place. Many things together. How can people still live with signed SPV ? :)
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted February 23, 2003 Report Posted February 23, 2003 Cheers youngerpants, I forgot about that one. I've PM'd Arisme, the creator, to check he doesn't mind my uploading it and i'll update it when he gets back to me.
Guest Cent Posted February 23, 2003 Report Posted February 23, 2003 Ok ... Mono you our hero for today :)
Guest fraser Posted February 23, 2003 Report Posted February 23, 2003 Good job, it's the one thing this site was missing. The discussion format is great for following developments, but it's always a chore to make sure you have the link to the latest version of anything. You should contact the board admins to see if they want to make it an official part of the site. It would be very useful.
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted February 23, 2003 Report Posted February 23, 2003 No doubt I'll talk to them at some point about it, i'm just waiting for all the people i have contacted about their software to get back to me to allow my to complete it. To update: I put the latest PDivX up earlier, and i'm still waiting to hear about NotBad/Doom/SmartSS/Snake/PocketScumm.
Guest almark Posted February 23, 2003 Report Posted February 23, 2003 Good one, if you need space for a mirror let me know, I have plenty of (fast) space. Some typos on the page if you are interested certificartion should read 'certification' rond should read 'around' BTW is your email link supposed to be like that, (to stop spammers but let anyone with a brian know your address?) or just a typo?
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted February 23, 2003 Report Posted February 23, 2003 Cheers for pointing out the typo's, i type too fast for my own good sometimes :) And is my link supposed to be like what exactly...?
Guest almark Posted February 23, 2003 Report Posted February 23, 2003 At the very bottom of your page i see this: "Any dead links/out of date software, or if you'd like your application hosted here please
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted February 23, 2003 Report Posted February 23, 2003 Ah i see, that's IE being shite(ish) :) I use Mozilla which seems to be more intelligent than IE and automatically closes the quotes around the href tag ;) Should be sorted now...
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted February 24, 2003 Report Posted February 24, 2003 Just to update after the first day up i have some usage stats :) I've hadn early 400 hits since 7:30am-ish this morning when i put the monitors up. Guest Hawkes_TFS Posted April 8, 2003 Report Posted April 8, 2003 I'm posting this here as it seems to be the most relevant place (and a search for remotedsp only turned up 3 results...) I just downloaded and installed remoteDSP from Mono's site link and it works really well. I can't get to the menu buttons though...what am I doing wrong? Can't find anything in the readme and the microsoft site was no help as it seems to be more for PocketPC. Cheers, Hawkes.
Guest MoRFLeZ Posted April 8, 2003 Report Posted April 8, 2003 There's an app called FreeSpace .. now with Task Manager doing the same and being a must, it might not be so necessary .. but it was the first app I ever installed on my SPV
Guest Paul [MVP] Posted April 8, 2003 Report Posted April 8, 2003 I saw a demo of the SmartPhone version of RemoteDSP, it looks v nice! I guess it'll be out from MS soon... P
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted April 8, 2003 Report Posted April 8, 2003 I saw it on a webcast. Looks good, still cool to use the PPC version for now though
Guest RaxDraco Posted July 25, 2004 Report Posted July 25, 2004 There's an app called FreeSpace .. now with http://smartphone.modaco.com/viewtopic.php?t=7065>Task Manager doing the same and being a must, it might not be so necessary .. but it was the first app I ever installed on my SPV Does this Freespace App allow you to remotely control your SPV E200 phone? I have tried to install RemoteDSP on my phone but it will not allow it.
