Guest woof Posted February 23, 2003 Report Posted February 23, 2003 Got a little problem, done a serch but didnt find much. When I key lock my phone the back light just stays on, is this normal, cause it would just eat at the battery, Im sure its meant to go off.
Guest Firaas Posted February 23, 2003 Report Posted February 23, 2003 How long have you left the phone? It should go off. If not, restart the phone and try again. Leave it for 15 minutes or so...
Guest Carnivor Posted February 23, 2003 Report Posted February 23, 2003 go into your power mgmt and check screen saver mode is set to turn off. but ive also noticed that when you change this, you ususally have to reboot to get the settings to actually change
Guest woof Posted February 23, 2003 Report Posted February 23, 2003 The screen saver is set to off, Ive never left it 15 mins, that just seems well to long, just for turning the keylock on, waste of battery
Guest acmjm Posted February 23, 2003 Report Posted February 23, 2003 Are you using that casino game? If you don't exit it correctly, that causes the backlight to remain on regardless of the system settings.
Guest woof Posted February 23, 2003 Report Posted February 23, 2003 Nope, not got that game, got Tennis, Rebound, and Slurp, but I always exit them correctly
Guest xanadu Posted February 23, 2003 Report Posted February 23, 2003 The backlight does stay on after playing some of the games. This is well known. Solution is to switch off, and switch SPV on again.
Guest Gorskar Posted February 24, 2003 Report Posted February 24, 2003 The SPV task manager is great for making sure you havn't got any unclosed apps running.
Guest Chris b.a.r.f. Posted February 24, 2003 Report Posted February 24, 2003 Nope, not got that game, got Tennis, Rebound, and Slurp, but I always exit them correctly Tennis Addict was the problem for me - did the same here, got so annoyed about it I uninstalled it. Tried various ways of quitting the game ([back] key, [home] key) but no luck...
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted February 24, 2003 Report Posted February 24, 2003 another one is Slurp as an early fix for keeping the backllight on while watching video was to have Slurp running in the background.
