I for one wouldn't have put any money on the update being out at midnight. Glad I didn't otherwise yet again thanks to Orange I would have been out of pocket :evil:

What is the big deal over this update anyway? The phone works fine, in fact it’s the best damn phone I’ve ever had the pleasure of owning and I’ve had a mobile now for eight years, I think (one2one's m300 was my first). Yeah, my daughter is seven and my wife bought it for me before she got pregnant. When we worked in John Lewis, when we were younger, when she looked so good, when we talked, when I missed her, when she missed me…why the hell do I feel so melancholy all of a sudden (must stop listening to Turin Brakes while replying to post).

Anyhow my point was that the phone is a great piece of kit and the only time I’ve had any problem with it, was when I’ve been trying to hack it. I have played blinding games on it, checked my emails when I was bored at my mother in laws, looked up the latest football scores while watching my brother play Sunday league (badly), watched a nice little Andrew Blake porno at McDonalds, and impressed everyone at work with clips of David Brent’s “Office” dance.

It’s a phone for goodness sake!

But if there is a good reason for the patch please keep me informed, because I do like to fiddle. That’s probably why my computers mugged half the time.

Assuming that this patch is similar to the one we already have in Denmark, then the *massive* speed increase together with far more stability in normal use are reason enough to install it. If they've fixed the hopeless T9 it'll be even better still, and the SPV will then be perfectly suited to my needs.
