Setting Up An ActiveSync Guest Account

Is this relativly easy as I want to set up my phone to run on a PC with fast internet to install this update, because I only have a 56k connection.

How do i go about setting up a guest account and not sync any contacts etc whatsoever?

And will i still be able to use the pass though connection?

You don't have to set up a guest account. Just select guest account instead of set up new account and it will connect automatically.

yeah i'll 2nd that one. I'm off round to a mates house later to borrow his broadband connection. I think there is an option in active sync (PC side of the connection) which specifies whether your phone will connect to just your own pc. As i'm not on my own pc i can't confirm this for definate. However in the settings for active sync (on the phone) there's a "connect to:" option. I can't change this to another pc than my own at the moment. I think this is something to do with me having selected the "connect to only thic pc" option in active sync on my pc. I'll check this evening and post findings later.
