getting miffed bout email

had a t68.. now all i hear is people saying how easy it is to get email to work.. i have NEVER got it to work.. I used the orange configure thing, got the settings via sms, did that work. NO

i now have the spv.. hear the same things.. i really hoped this would be easy.. but again.. NOTHING.

i've got an orange email account.. i know the addresses for the servers.. pop.orange.net smtp.orange.net i know my username and password.. and it even seems to login and not give an error.. but how on earth do i SEND an email, new msg is for SMS not email... ARGH..

i've gone thru the archives as best as i can but cant find anyone giving FULL help, i see one bit of info here, another bit here. i aint a newbie when it comes to stuff i KNOW how to use pc's etc, just mobiles seem to constantly throw me :)

can ANY one help, before i get sent to the loony bin

I wouldn't use the spv manual as the username and domain stuff are wrong. I remember it said something about username = ora___________

Are you synching with the PC or using the phone standalone, as you have to disable inbox in activesync

i not even installed the pc sync stuff yet (i know i will need to for this update)

[New Message] is for both SMS & email - in the "To:" line, just press and hold the

[*] key to change to normal text input then write the recipient's email address.
