Headset suddenly stopped working?

Hi,

My handsfree headset sudenly stopped working during a call. Although I could still hear the caller through the earpiece, they could no longer hear me.

Unplugging the headset and pluggin back in made no difference. I;m not sure if the problem lies with the handsfree itself or the phone. Has anyone else had this problem?

The phone on it's own works fine, it's only when I now plug the headset in that they can't hear me any more.

I'm at a loss what's caused this as it seemed to happen all of a sudden. I didn't change anything on the phone. In fact, it was sat on the ar seat next to me when it happened!

Any help most appreciated!

Cheers,

Taz

I had this happen, but my headset socket was already bu**ered. I was calling OCS at the time, and the poor sod at the end was shouting "can you hear me" for a good five minutes before he hung up! Hope it's not the case for you, but it was new SPV time for me when that happened :) Try it with a different headset maybe - Orange shops probably have them, or an XDA one would work.

Plug the Handsfree in before you make or recieve the call! Works every time, but i think the update might have solved it!

That is if it a common problem in the first place :?:

Nope that's not the problem. It was plugged in before the call orginally. Each time I've tested it since it's been plugged in prior to the call. I have a feeling something's got buggered with it. (technical term).

Have e-mailed the shop I bought it from for some advice on what to do about warranty claims, etc. Will see what happens!!!
