Somebody be a gent and give us a basic, easy to follow set of instructions please :) I never previous to the update app unlocked mine, but now seems to be the time to do it. Can somebody also explain what will be lost and what will need altering after app unlocking. Many thanks in advance.
Guest chewie Posted February 25, 2003 Report Posted February 25, 2003 Yeah i too cant get into the actual botloader menu which allows you to erase the IPSM. I'm pre update and it just goes straight to the canary 3 color screen. I saw how to do it on here, but i fogot now (since ive been drinking :)) Somebody tel me how please, i wanna de cert the phone before i goto bed!

Guest pibrahim Posted February 25, 2003 Report Posted February 25, 2003 Same method as always... Hold down voice record, press power. Press action button to go into menu, 8 to erase. Edit the one file needed (not two this time), details of which are on another thread here. Its something _10.provxml I think... Timing's pretty similar to pre-update. I tried the above with my updated phone tonight, no problemo.
