Guest FrankyG Posted February 25, 2003 Report Posted February 25, 2003 Hi, I started the update process, although I was using a Nokia charger in the cradle (lost the original one) The update software told me that the phone wasn't charging -ok, I thought it's not the original charger but it was worth trying anyway. I checked that the nokia charger was firmly inserted, but the software still didn't recognise the phone as charging. So I clicked on Cancel on the setup, quit the update process and removed the phone from the cradle. Tried to switch on...NADA. Tried all the usual tricks to get the phone switched on..nothing at all! I had fully charged the phone the night before (using cradle and nokia charger) so I know the battery wasn't flat. I placed the phone on the cradle again and the red led light on the phone came on...hmm? Does this indicate that the phone thinks the battery is dead? Oh, I've also tried switching on holding down the voice record button, no response either. ANY suggestions welcome on my next move!?? Thanks FrankyG
Guest MARKUKCOUK Posted February 25, 2003 Report Posted February 25, 2003 different charger might equal different voltages. in other words, maybe youve fried your phone?
