Media Player buffers streaming audio after UK update

After installing the UK update on a non-modded phone, Media Player buffers every 10 seconds when playing streaming audio over GPRS. It never did it before. Anyone else with the same problem?

Yep, I tried some streaming radio sites and it does seem to buffer more. Although this could be just increased traffic on the network. Mind you after April 30 will anybody actually bother streaming

which was ok before after a few seconds. Now it want to buffer every few second and is not of any use...

Is this to do with the Update or something else ?

I have found that GPRS speeds in general have been absolute shite in the last week. When I first got my SPV back in december GPRS ran like a dream but now, a 100k download can take half an hour or longer.

I think this is a general network/bandwidth issue of Orange's rather than anything that relates to updates.

Yup, GPRS seems to have got slower over the past few months. I last tried streaming radio in December and it worked perfectly. Tried it again last night (after the update) and it was very choppy. Having said that, I tried a streaming video from Orange's SPV portal a couple of weeks ago and that ran with hardly any buffering so maybe the update does have something to do with it? I do seem to get more egg timers with the update too - an absolute pain in the a*se when you're trying to play GNUBoy and they pop up! :evil:

Hard Reset and still buffers every 6sec which takes 12secs then plays

6 secs and so on... Why since update. Where is the buffer setings for play back ? :evil:

I think it might just be the amount of people trying different things, after all, has anyone noticed the huge increase in posts on Modaco? This probably isn't it, just came to my head.
