Guest clifhanger_uk Posted February 25, 2003 Report Posted February 25, 2003 Just spoken to Orange on 156 and was put through to their `2nd line' team. Andy there confirmed that they are replacing the current download with a new version due to the current version causing a freeze on some handsets. I asked if they would be withdrawing the current update or posting a message on their site - he didnt know. He also didnt know if the new download would have a different file name... He said it would be available from 4pm today. Paul or any of u techie guys - do you know anything about this? :?: :!:
Guest fixit Posted February 25, 2003 Report Posted February 25, 2003 This is covered elsewhere on the forum. The installer was falling over on non NT based versions of windows - if you had Win 9X or ME there were problems. The new packaged installer should now work on these systems, and if you are using NT4, Win2K or XP the existing one will work.
Guest clifhanger_uk Posted February 25, 2003 Report Posted February 25, 2003 OK fix, but O didnt confirm that it was actually due to a platform issue or confirm that Im ok being on Win2k.. but if thats it then glad u were able to clear that up. Cheers
