Guest JimBob Posted February 25, 2003 Report Posted February 25, 2003 Hi.... Did anyone check out the dreadful spelling and apalling english used on the SPV ROM Updater? Anyone would think florin_m was working for Orange! As someone that develops software for a living I think it is a disgrace that after all this waiting they release a really shabby software update to end users. OK, it is the actual content of the package that counts but when you pay good money for a product you expect well rounded software! where is their quality control? OK my rant is over..... Best thing gained from the update is improved scroll speed. Monolithix' software page used to take 10 seconds to scroll top to bottom. I can now do it in 4 seconds easily!!! Charging issues.... Is the improved battery life brought about by a few tweaks on background processes that are running or more importantly by removing the charging restriction whereby when the battery nears full strength the green led goes out and charging halts? When I woke up at 5am the phone was still charging and the led was green. It had been charging for 9 hours! It always used to stop after about 5 hours max. Does this mean it is now possible for me to overcharge my phone and damage my battery?.....i hope not! dont get me wrong I want improved battery life, but not if it means charging it to the point of almost frying! Regards
