Update.....Screen Paused

Hi, Im just wondering if any one had the following problem with the update.

I loaded it in at 8.30 this morning, went on fine, then when i restartedmy fone it came on to the home screen and a message popped up saying "Updating, Do not close". Well it 11.30 now and the screen is still there.

I am able to check the programs and the new programs with the update have gone on a working, so Im presuming that the update was successful, but its just stayed on that screen.

Im wondering weather its ok to take the battery off and restart the phone
