Guest madu Posted February 25, 2003 Report Posted February 25, 2003 Firstly, I tried searching - didn't come up with anything at all really, so soz if has been covered. When I try to connect to any page (even yahoo.com) on my spv it starts be going through the ususal procedure: Dialing.. Connecting... Finding Site... bla bla. Then it seems to be doing something and the 'logo' in top righthand corner moves for a bit. Then everything stops and it takes me to a blank page with 'Untitled' in the title bar on top. Has anyone else come up with the same problem and what did I do to f***k it up? Any ideas? Regards madu PS: I know u are all busy with the update and simunlock, but this thing pisses me off :)
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted February 25, 2003 Report Posted February 25, 2003 How long has it been happening?
Guest madu Posted February 25, 2003 Report Posted February 25, 2003 Erm.. Restored to my original UK version and then updated. Pretty sure it worked before I backed it up a few weeks ago. Strangely all other functions like O. Backup/Update and Email work well. It just seems to be the IE. I put on WebSelector yesterday that switches it WAP>WEB but only then tried it... K9inda weird and annoying. Tried playing with IE settings like 'Auto detect settings' and GPRS connection settings - but it is unlikely to be Data Connections since update/email work well. ta
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted February 25, 2003 Report Posted February 25, 2003 No idea sorry :/. Unless you are stuck on one of those sites that keeps forwarding you back when you hit back...? Might have to resort to a hard reset or backup... :/
Guest madu Posted February 25, 2003 Report Posted February 25, 2003 Hard reset looks like the only option. Weel - I now have something to do tonight - f***k myself in the a**e.... :) Will restore original UK firmware and see what it does - to be honest though Florin's firmware is not in any way inferior to UK update, and maybe even better in some ways.. So if this won't work - Florin B2 here I come/. I don't wanna risk a certified phone after IPSM reset, even though it seems to decert on occasions. thanks.
