update for Win98/ME users - is worth updating.. views please

any of you users out there who already have the update, seems to me to have a downside after reading many posts is it still worth updating for any of us win98/win ME lepers...

some mention poorer res quality on photo's etc.. some losing

info, is media player buffering still c**p any thoughts. :?

I'm not too sure, I woudn't mind a faster phone tho, and iI dont like the thought of my media player not working!! Is it 4 O'clock the "leper update" comes out??

What should us lepers who also connect to XP and 2000 machines as well as ME do??

My laptop is Me, workstation 2000 ans home pc XP pro...

I need it to work on my laptop as i want to use the spv to dial in

I've just been to O /English site and the download seems to be there! No indication tho whether it's the WinMe upgrade. Earlier today, trying Paul's link, the site was down and earlier than that, well let's just say I seem to have found a different link to the download on O's site.

I have downloaded to a zip disk all 5.8Mb to take home to install. Fingers and toes crossed, etc :wink:

Only backup I have is the orange backup. No sd one!

I'm a 98s/e leper too. But fortunately i've a mate with an spv and xp so i'm sorted. It is worth it, even if you have to take your cradle (don't forget your mains CHARGER!)and spv software cd to a friends house who has xp.

I'm really chuffed that i can now chat on msn and listen to tunes on media player with no jitters at all!! ahhhh bliss!
