You'd be better converting the mpeg files to Divx though, they will take up less space on your phone. Much more modern format.

Oranges Emblaze player play's mpegs apparently. I;ve not had chance to test it but its not supposed to be all that great. As fraser says you're better off encoding them to a nice tidy compressed divx.

DiVX is MPEG 4, and it plays MPEG 1 layer 3 (mp3) audio, so I suppose it makes sense! Always use DiVX myself though - might as well unless you have an enourmous SD card and nothing to fill it with (never happens to me )

PocketMVP also plays MP3. Does Emblaze?

I play a lot of live sets (60min) and WMP stops at about 20min on all of them. I thought it was MP3 corrupted, but even recoded ones stop at about that time... So I use PocketMVP for them... Just wish it showed time on screen and had a 'jump to..' feature

There's a version of Pocket TV for SmartPhone in the works - don't know whether it will be free like the Pocket PC version though.
