Guest Speedy Posted February 26, 2003 Report Posted February 26, 2003 Hi all I just bought a brand spanking new 256 sd card and i have a peculiar problem with it. Sometimes it can not load any apps or games that i have installed on it. Nor can i view movies or anything. I have tried to take the sd card out and reinserting it. This seems to work but not for long though. After a while it does the same again. It gives me err msg like: Cant find..bla bla make sure path is correct...bla and The program is not a valid win ce app (even though it is and i have run it before) Its doing it more and more often and is really bugging me. Have any of you experienced the same? Does anybody know how to fix this? Thanks a lot
Guest ajb3000 Posted February 26, 2003 Report Posted February 26, 2003 I have the exact same problem with my 256MB Sandisk SD Card, not sure if it's the SD card or the phone tho. Also I did spill vinager on the phone once so I thought that may have something to do with it.
Guest madu Posted February 26, 2003 Report Posted February 26, 2003 I have the same problem and it appears to be an SPV hardware bug. I think I will claim a replacement headset eventually. I had same symptoms with: 256MB Sandisk SD (Valuemedia) 8MB Panasonic SD (Orange) 32MB Hitachi MMC (Nokia MP3 Player) And please search coz it has been posted before by me and others as well.
Guest TooMuch2AM Posted February 26, 2003 Report Posted February 26, 2003 This sounds like it could be dust gathering on the SD card contacts in the phone - I've found that the SD slot is a very acommodating dust harbour... I'd suggest getting hold of a can of compressed air and giving the slot a bit of a blast... M (usual disclaimer - no guarentees if you blow the hell out of your SPV etc etc)
Guest Speedy Posted February 26, 2003 Report Posted February 26, 2003 Funny enough mine is also a 256 sandisk. Could it be that the card is just slighty too thin or the slot is bad, so that the connection between them lacks some times? I did the search but I did not come up with anything usefull.

Guest ajb3000 Posted February 26, 2003 Report Posted February 26, 2003 ok, since the update I have not had this problem until the battery is under 10%, which I can put up with. However also since the update my program icons on the SD card are not showing up properly, ggrrrr...
Guest yatpeak Posted February 27, 2003 Report Posted February 27, 2003 I think it might have been an error that occured during the update as I had no such problem. Wyatt
Guest yatpeak Posted February 27, 2003 Report Posted February 27, 2003 I just realized, I used the DK update, so it might be a problem with the English update, but I think someone would have mentioned it earlier if it was a problem with the update. Wyatt
