Yesterday I updated my SPV with the UK Update! :)

Last night I uncerted my SPV! ;)

I've been playing DOOM and NES Games all day!!

This afternoon I switched off my SPV. When I switched it back on the certification had re-applied itself!!!

Does anyone have any ideas?

Is this something ORANGE have put into the update to stop us from uncerting our phones?

I uncerted after the update and not had any problems. I've just taken the battery out of the phone and put it back in, and still no re-certification. I think the phone will require uncerting again after a hard reset, though

Many people have been reporting such problems prior to the update.

It's not down to Orange... you'll need to reuncert.

What's going on, thats a good question. My phone has been fine since November. I removed certification within days of it being cracked. I was also one of the first to apply the update.

Today, the phone was running a little slow, so I switched it off then on again (I have done this hundreds of times). The phone is now re-certified. I have not lost any data, but all the default menus are back. I have key-click on, and now I cannot run any un-certified apps. I know this has happend to other people, but could the problem be worse since the update?

Im glad its not just me then. I've just un-certed mine again. Hope it doesn't happen again.
