Dear Wibby,

Thank you for your enquiry.

In order to take advantage of our MMS/GPRS service, you will need:

1. You will need to have an accredited handset that we can support on

the network. This is a handset that has been tested by our engineers

and has passed all tests on our network.  You can find out more about

MMS enabled handsets at the following website & click 'Choose Handset'

on the left hand side of the page :

http://shop.o2.co.uk/shop/megadeals/

2. An appropriate existing tariff, which will allow us to provision the

MMS service on your account.

In order to have your account provisioned you will

need to change to one of our new MMS tariffs, to find all the

information on our new tariffs please visit:

http://shop.o2.co.uk/shop/choosetariffs

If you would like to change tariff and get MMS provisioned on your

account please choose a tariff, email this back to us and we will

provision your account.

Thank you for contacting O2 Customer Care.

Regards,

So, does this meen that O2 will not support the MMS/GPRS on the SVP, Only Handsets bought via O2!!!!

Erm.

You can use MMS/GPRS on the SPV - just as it says on the email.

I quote:

We have several higher end phones (not as many as our Brit and European friends though) and for example the PPC Phone Edition. While T-Mobile and AT&T are the only ones that sell it, you CAN use the phone with other services - you just have to configure the GPRS settings for the specific network as they all do it different and do not store it on the SIM or anything (why - I don't know). Also, as the last poster mentiond your account would need to be enabled as well. Consider your phone an "approved" model since you know it can do GPRS. There are other posts here about different carriers and their specific settings.
