Guest GameAngel Posted February 26, 2003 Report Posted February 26, 2003 I thought someone might find this interesting. "Duality Enterprise for Smartphone builds on Commtag´s existing support for the Pocket PC 2002 and Pocket PC Phone Edition, to enable users of new Smartphone devices such as the SPV to receive always-on email direct to the multimedia handset." visit the source http://www.commtag.com/about/press/20030218/ Cool idea. 8)
Guest fraser Posted February 26, 2003 Report Posted February 26, 2003 Shesh! I thought of that idea a couple of weeks ago. I wish I had a friend who is a patent layer. :) It is kind of obvious though. I thought about it when I was thinking about when I would use an e-mail verses an SMS. Even with automatic send and receive set to the minimum, that's still up to 15 minutes before you receive the message. If it needs to be there on time, use SMS. Until e-mail can be pushed onto a phone, it's more of a gimick really.
Guest lindbergf Posted February 27, 2003 Report Posted February 27, 2003 This has probably been mentioned before but if you use the pop3 mail from www.orange.net there is an option if you will receive a sms as soon as you got an mail in your inbox. You can then easily receive the mail on your phone or if you connected to internet on your computer check the mail via internet...it work's fine for me.
