Arggghhh Help me!! SMS Problem

Ok, I did this....

Decerted my phone, which worked ok, then updated, which removed the decert, then re-dercerted my phone which worked ok ( in the end -- lotta button pressing going on! ) BUT..... I cant create SMS any more:( nor can I reply ;)

If I press the softkey for 'new' no menu appears, for 'reply' no reply window appears....

Now, I am kinda hoping that I dont have to hard reset again... please oh please help me sort this out, I'll buy the guy who helps me a nice cold pint as a thankyou :)

Did you send any SMSs after updating the phone with the UK update, but before you de-certed? SOunds to me though that the de-cert hasn't worked fully. You may need to hard reset and de-cert again.

I updated and then decerted straight after... within minutes..

I know in the past some people who have had trouble with de-certing reported problems with SMS. Basically the file didn't quite go across in time and only partly de-certed. Best to try it again, sorry

Just an update...

I went through a number of reset/decert attempts, and I fianlly came to the conclusion that its just a matter of timing! I now have SMS back, plus all those lovely applications running :)

I only had to paste the ONE xml file cos I decertified after the update. If you have the same problem, dont despair, keep trying, and you'll get there in the end. My updated, decerted phone, is slicker than ever... making me a very happy in the process ;)
