Ringtones on the memory card

I remember seing a post about this but i cannot find it. I am running out of space on my phone and is there any way possible of putting ringtones on my storage card and using them as ringtones. Sorry for asking this question again if it has been asked.

It can be done (I think) but you need to hack the regisrty about to get it to work. There is a commercial product available (soundz cool?) that sets the sounds of various things but as don't have it I can't say if you can store ringtones etc on the SD card or whether you are still stuck with them being on the phone.

Soundz cool is a good app but it only stores the ringtones in the default dir.

You can edit the registry (has been posted but i can't remember where offhand sorry)

but when you turn the phone off and restart is goes back to default dir,

there is another part of the registry you can alter to make it permanant but it crashes the phone :)

so there's no way in which you can permanantly store ringtones on the memory card :) If anyone finds any thing out about this please let us know?

Doesn't look too bad - needs the registry edited to point t0 the SD card athough as stated above, I don't know if this is permanent. If you get the time to translate the 'translated french' into readable English, send in an update.

its deffently possible, just a case reading throught the entire registery i think. if anyone can figure it out they will be hero :!: :)
