Guest martin Posted February 27, 2003 Report Posted February 27, 2003 If the zip file contains _setup.xml then copy the zip file to phone and install from All-explorer. You could also copy the zip file to the Orange add-on directory : Storage card/2577/Orange and install from the add-on menu.
Guest premena Posted February 27, 2003 Report Posted February 27, 2003 I have copied the zip file tothe add on directory(Storage card/2577/Orange)as you said in my storage card ,but when i run the add on(by inserting the card) it dos'nt show any thing but the original programs whichis allready with the card,,, i have also tried to open the _setup.xml from the smart explorer(i can't install All-explorer,,, maybe because i have updated my phone whit danish update,,, but i can install other programs) , it just opens the the file in the ie explorer ,,,, ther has to be a way to run this type of files (*.*.xml)
Guest yatpeak Posted February 28, 2003 Report Posted February 28, 2003 It's possible that the zip file is actually a cab file, which show up on some computers as zips. You could try running the entire file through smart-explorer to check whether or not it is a cab. Wyatt

Guest premena Posted February 28, 2003 Report Posted February 28, 2003 All thouse fils which I mentioned are real zip fils because I have unziped them , after unziping I can se they are containing _setup.xmland som other files which has *.*.01 and *.*.002 extentions. As I undrestand the only solution to my installing problem is to uncertify my phone and rerun All-explorer right?
Guest martin Posted February 28, 2003 Report Posted February 28, 2003 Right. These files must be unpacked from the phone memory (or SD card) but they are not liscensed programs. You need to de-cert. If you need convincing on the file structure- copy one of the orange add-ons files to C drive and have a look at it.
Guest SirGaz Posted February 28, 2003 Report Posted February 28, 2003 premena, just because you can unzip them doesn't mean that it's not a cab file. Does it end with .zip or .cab? If it is a cab then you need to copy the original cab file to the phone and run it from there. This will install the files onto the phone correctly. If you copy it to the start menu folder then you do not need to create a shortcut to it and the installation will delete the cab file as well.
