Which companion PDA?

Does anybody use a companion PDA with their SPV?

I have been a long time Palm user (currently M515),but I am toying with the idea of replacing the Palm with a Dell Axim.

I use the PDA for task management, larger scale input into contacts and calendar than is ideal on the SPV, and for meeting notetaking with a keyboard.

I am thinking that the Dell Axim would synchronise better with Outlook (Palm via Intellisync has a few oddities).

Anybody got any thoughts?

I'm considering a Mitac Mio 338 at expansys.com.

But the whole idea of getting an spv was to avoid carrying a phone and a pda. :roll:

May have trouble getting that past the boss. :)

The only thing I'm missing is the ability to take notes and read word docs or pdf's.

I use a Palm M500 and have been syncing with the SPV using Desktop to Go. It works well, but you have to decide which will be your primary contacts and calender device, because it gets really screwed up if you try and sync it all up together, you basically get loads of duplicated info.

There was another little app which was brilliant and sits on your desktop. It recognises when a change has been made to either Outlook or Palm Desktop and syncs up automatically on the PC. You will need to remember to sync your device afterwards, maybe at points throughout the day.

I've got a sony clie t675 which is briliant amazing screen for its size 320x320. only realy use it bcause it is easy to get contacts and look at dates on it the mp3 player on it is also far supiror to the one on the spv and the fact that it also works as a universal remote =). Its also relitvly cheap 250 ish . On a different note does anyone know of a good browser tried vaagbond but they want me to pay for any decent features. Ill aliterate on the details if anyones interested, but if your going for a palm this is what id recermend only problem is that it uses ms not sd, tring to persuade myself that its a good idea to get a p800 because of this but its not working kinda got a good love hate relationship going with my spv at the moment :)
