Guest cpt_andy Posted March 1, 2003 Report Posted March 1, 2003 I have an e-mail account with hotpop.com and want to use it's SMTP server to send. However, I would like to use my ISP's POP server to receive. Hotpop's SMTP server requires authentication, but i can only enter one set of credentials. Is it possible to set different credentials for POP and SMTP? Note I am on T-mobile, who do not have an SMTP server (that I can find), so I can't use that. Thanks Cpt. Andy
Guest Soyale Posted March 1, 2003 Report Posted March 1, 2003 If you're in the UK try: smtp.t-mail.co.uk or smtp.t-motion.co.uk I don't know for sure that either of them will accept messages if you're on T-mobile GPRS but it has to be worth a try! jp
Guest fraser Posted March 1, 2003 Report Posted March 1, 2003 You can't enter two sets of accounts unfortunatly. I've looked into this already. What you can do is make sure that the account name and password are the same for both. This won't work if either account name incorporates the domain e.g. "[email protected]", but if both are "myself", then it should be fine.
