Guest dogo Posted March 2, 2003 Report Posted March 2, 2003 Hi does anyone know where you can get a replacement cover/screen, I've managed to scratch the screen :) Just to add, thats the plastic outside screen, and not the LCD itself
Guest Thurstan Posted March 2, 2003 Report Posted March 2, 2003 Apparently this works: http://www.scratchremover.co.uk/ Might save you trying to get the screen replaced! Scratches were discussed here a while ago: http://www.modaco.com/viewtopic...=608&highlight=
Guest dogo Posted March 2, 2003 Report Posted March 2, 2003 Cheers i give it a try, the only problem is. It is inside of the phone, i removed the cover to remove the bloody dust. (That wil teach me), i did use a soft cloth, but somehow its scratched the screen.. o well
Guest muude Posted March 2, 2003 Report Posted March 2, 2003 I advise you NOT to use this since I have had bad experiences with it. It totally f*cked up my old 7650 by leaving 2 BIG spots on the screen. Perhaps this is just me, I don't know about that, but that's my experience with Displex...
Guest Extreme_biker0 Posted March 2, 2003 Report Posted March 2, 2003 Use some plastic finishing paper, known as aluminium oxide paper. That should do it.
Guest solo Posted March 3, 2003 Report Posted March 3, 2003 I have used Displex without any problems - it did exactly what it said it would do. I made the mistake of putting the phone and the camera in the same pocket, so you can imagine how bad the scratches were when they came into contact with each other. After just 10 minutes of polishing with Displex the screen was as good as new. Solo
Guest dogo Posted March 4, 2003 Report Posted March 4, 2003 Ok guys ordered some displex, i give that a go and see what happens  , i will let you know what happens dogo
Guest dogo Posted March 7, 2003 Report Posted March 7, 2003 Umm try Displex not a good result :) in fact using a non scratch cloth ended up scracthing it to f*!*!* oh well i have to live with it
Guest celsol Posted March 7, 2003 Report Posted March 7, 2003 Use Duraglit Brasso metal polishing wadding (wooly stuff), to start of apply little pressure rub for a while same direction as the scratch then polish off with a dry clean cloth. Repeat until scratch is gone....works a treat 8)
Guest Deemon Posted March 7, 2003 Report Posted March 7, 2003 i used a duster to apply the dispex...worked a treat...
