CANT SEND RINGTONE TO MY PHONE

: I have tried on a number of occasions to send a ringtone froim my PC to my Phone. I have downloaded the ringtone to My pc , then gone into IPSM, APLLICATION DATA, then MY SOUNDS (Which I had to create as it was not there) - the ringtone for some reason dousnt transfer to my phone !!! Does anyone know why??? Please e-mail me to advise if you know what the problem is !!!!

OK first off are you just doing a drag and drop via activsync? as this should work.

Also only certain .wav files work due to compression, this is listed elsewhere in this section.

You can tell if this is happening if you select the file and it just beeps at you.

Also the folder is SOUNDS and not MY SOUNDS.

Awarner - All I am doing is downloading the ring tone to my PC, @cut@ it then going into My sounds(which i creatd myself) then pasting it. It is not showing up on my phone - is there any chance that you can give me a different way step by step - My e mail address is [email protected] - Cheers mate

Like sirgaz said the folder should be called sounds not my sounds

Havnt got a folder called "Sounds" I created my own , does that cause a problem???

Not if you called the folder "sounds" but you have posted that you called it "my sounds" the my part

is the problem. another way is to put a sound on your storage card, and play it with all-explorer (if you have it)

then select save and the folder you need will be created automatically.

Nice one mate, I will give that a bash tomorrow and change the folder to "Sounds" and take it from there, thanks for aall your help ps - all I have to do is rename my sounds to sounds?????
