As far as we know the only sucessful function on a Mac os is using Zterm to dial up over IR only. Activesync does not have a mac version and the usb modem functionality does not work. I have tested it on Zterm and it works fine but cannot find a script to use remote access.

Is it possible to use a Mac for saving MP3s etc on the SD card?

i.e. are the Mac/Windows/Smartphone filesystems on SD cards compatible when using a USB card reader?

csd wont probably work

you can try by using generic IRDA modem and using the gprs init string

+cgdcont=1,"ip","orangeinternet","",0,0

csd works fine through zterm. Zterm has its own built in modem script called zmodem. We are currently stripping down that script for use on all platforms (mac 8.6 to jaguar)

will be able to answer this on friday at the latest

Just a quick note:

I'm currently using a mac running os x 10.1.5 and a laptop pc running xp. Bought a SD card and a Multimedia Card and can copy and play mp3 files and other media just as easy from either platform. I plug the cards into my machine via a USB card reader.

i emailed pocketmac a month back or so and they seemed definitely interested in the whole smartphone 2002 thing. i dont think it is too complicated to make pocket mac work with the spv as the only difference with a pocket pc version is in the executables on the smartphone).

the only way to make this happen though is for everyone to email pocketmac and ask them nicely for a mac version (---pleeeaaase!!)

Is there any program that I could use on my mac to sync my spv with?

Hi, this is just a quick post to let you know that I'm working on a Mac OS X application for syncing with Windows CE devices (mainly PocketPCs, and possibly CE 2.0 devices once I've got a USB <-> serial adapter), but I would also be insteresting in supporting Smartphone (and hope to get one myself at some point anyway). You can see a screenshot of it and the "useless screenshot function" I've included at http://www.mice-software.com/blah/celink_s..._screenshot.jpg

I'm not sure, there's still lots to do like the File System kernel extension to allow it to mount the PocketPC memory as a disk drive, as well as plugins to allow syncing Todo/Calendar/Contacts items, and some testing, but hopefully it won't take too long.
