Probably been answered many times before and a real newbie question but.....

How do i put apps/ringtones/mp3's/whatever on and SD card. I have the original 8Mb and a 16Mb I rescued from my Palm M505.

I'd prefer a solution that would work out of the box without decert'ing / unlocking if possible! :)

Thanks !!

I assume you have ActiveSync installed (although i'm sure-ish this isn't nescasary). If you now go to My Computer there should be a "Mobile Devices" icon. Double click that then My SmartPhone, once in there place anything you want on the SD card into the "Storage Card" folder.

Not meaning to sound partronizing but Mono forgot to mention to put SPV in it's cradle connected to your PC - unless you Active Sync with IR.

And would I then be correct to say that any files appear automagically on my spv??

Don't worry about sounbding patronizing - I work in IT support and now just how you have to spell things out sometimes.

Thanks peeps!! :)

Just as a side note:

If you want to use ringotnes stored on the SD card then a search will bring up how to edit the registry accordingly.

App's have to be told to install onto the Storage card from the installer.

All other documents/music/apps can be placed in whatever folders within the storage card folder as you feel fit.

One thing to note is that the Traffic GPRS counter does not work if installed to the SD card, it has to be installed to the phone. Another tip, from awarner, is to install all explorer on each SD card, this will allow you to explore no matter what card you have and saves a bit of memory on the phone.
