Guest kpc Posted March 3, 2003 Report Posted March 3, 2003 Probably been answered many times before and a real newbie question but..... How do i put apps/ringtones/mp3's/whatever on and SD card. I have the original 8Mb and a 16Mb I rescued from my Palm M505. I'd prefer a solution that would work out of the box without decert'ing / unlocking if possible! :) Thanks !!
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted March 3, 2003 Report Posted March 3, 2003 I assume you have ActiveSync installed (although i'm sure-ish this isn't nescasary). If you now go to My Computer there should be a "Mobile Devices" icon. Double click that then My SmartPhone, once in there place anything you want on the SD card into the "Storage Card" folder.
Guest Richie M Posted March 3, 2003 Report Posted March 3, 2003 Not meaning to sound partronizing but Mono forgot to mention to put SPV in it's cradle connected to your PC - unless you Active Sync with IR.
Guest kpc Posted March 3, 2003 Report Posted March 3, 2003 And would I then be correct to say that any files appear automagically on my spv?? Don't worry about sounbding patronizing - I work in IT support and now just how you have to spell things out sometimes. Thanks peeps!! :)
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted March 3, 2003 Report Posted March 3, 2003 Just as a side note: If you want to use ringotnes stored on the SD card then a search will bring up how to edit the registry accordingly. App's have to be told to install onto the Storage card from the installer. All other documents/music/apps can be placed in whatever folders within the storage card folder as you feel fit.
Guest tomdbomb61 Posted March 3, 2003 Report Posted March 3, 2003 ive found that wot impresses people the most is mobile porn! for example u go on sumthing like Edit by awarner Do not encourage piracy and download porn films bang them on ur memory card and impress all ya mates! theyll have never seen porn movies on a fone b4! ull be the envy of your mates lol just dont let ur mum catch u ! lol tj
Guest almark Posted March 3, 2003 Report Posted March 3, 2003 One thing to note is that the Traffic GPRS counter does not work if installed to the SD card, it has to be installed to the phone. Another tip, from awarner, is to install all explorer on each SD card, this will allow you to explore no matter what card you have and saves a bit of memory on the phone.
