Orange DK's "unusual" definition of "new&quot

Hmm. Bit of Orange general interest here.

Now it seems that Orange in Denmark are trying to pass used (faulty?) returned phones off as new. The phone featured in this article was "discovered" due to the old user's numbers/appointments still being present. Denmark's Forbrugerrådet (Consumer Association) ain't terribly pleased, it seems.

Here's a link:

Orange Denmark deserve to sink without trace, really they do - especially when they come with excuses like this:

Orange refute the criticism and point out that the low price should have been enough to inform the customer that it was a used telephone - even though it's unfortunate that the customer wasn't clearly informed that the telephone was used.

Orange Denmark - utter, utter bastards. or should that be  ?

Nail on the head, mate. It's an insult from Orange to their punters...faithful punters, in my case.

Edit: Hey Mono, how about getting a java irc applet stuck up on your page somewhere? I can't be bothered with mIrc...

I'll look into it, i ~thought~ Paul might be working on something like that, not sure if/when it'll happen though. I'll see what i can come up with in the meantime though :)

Paul IS working on it, it'll be online v - v - soon, and won't require Java, plugins etc. etc.

cgi-irc used to be pretty crappy, but it's much better now (seperate channels in seperate "windows" and so on)

Give me a PM if you want to try it out, and I'll give you the URL to the version I've got installed on my server (for private use, ofc, it couldn't handle the load of everyone using it)
