Have I made a big mistake?

I bought an SPV in january and I had lots of problems with Losing GPRS after connecting to the cradle. The light wouldn't go out draining the battery quickly. I took it back to the shop and got a refund.

I waited for the UK update before ordering another. I just ordered one on the Internet tonight. This was before re-visiting this forum.

After reading some of the posts it appears that there is more trouble with the GPRS now than before. Am I making a BIG MISTAKE? I didn't know whether to wait for the p800. A lthough this might be too big.

Simon.

All i can tell you Simon is that ive never had any trouble with the GPRS or the light on my phone + the update has speeded up the phone and extended battery life. As for the P800 well it depends on what you want, im sure you know the biggest diferences between them so at the end of the day it comes down to which one you prefer.

Only you can make the choice

SPV all the way if you have the time to bother with it.. It does take quite a bit of my precious...

And no, I never had any major GPRS or other probs with it so far. Most of them are resolvable - thanks to MODACO :) But the time it requires....... Damn those 'red folders'!!!

Nope. The SPV's a sorted phone, GPRS implementation's no better or worse than any other phone I've seen. Better than a P800? Yes and no - as MisterCurly says, only you can definitively answer that one.

Thanks for your comments. I feel a bit easier now. I did enjoy playing with the last one. I feel that the microsoft software will probably be better supported than the simbian software on the p800. I suppose half the fun is sorting out the crashes and errors.

When I get it in a few days time you will probably hear a lot more from me. Hopefully I can pick your brains?
