Guest EGAN Posted March 3, 2003 Report Posted March 3, 2003 Is there any way of getting streaming radio onto the SPV ?? or even say for example getting music streaming from the net to play on the SPV from Radio One's site ?
Guest tobyfield Posted March 3, 2003 Report Posted March 3, 2003 Yes there is. Try www.muddytyres.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/smartphone/sp.htm and www.webinspire.co.uk/spv They both have links to streaming radio content.
Guest Chris b.a.r.f. Posted March 3, 2003 Report Posted March 3, 2003 or even say for example getting music streaming from the net to play on the SPV from Radio One's site ? R1 only send netcasts in RealAudio format, more's the pity. No Lamacq Live on the SPV then - for the time being, anyway :)
Guest tay Posted March 4, 2003 Report Posted March 4, 2003 I can get the radio to work for about 13 seconds then it stops and buffers etc etc. I did see some mention of pre update this did not used to happen. I never tried before I updated the phone so do not now. Anyone got any ideas or suggestion.
Guest Gorskar Posted March 4, 2003 Report Posted March 4, 2003 Buy a cheap compact radio? Ok, I'll admit: not the suggestion you were looking for I'd imagine.
Guest EGAN Posted March 5, 2003 Report Posted March 5, 2003 Yeah, the bloody thing keeps buffering all the time !! Who invented the word "buffering" for gods sake !!!! No good for streaming radio !!! - I tried the above radio links !!
Guest Syvwlch Posted March 5, 2003 Report Posted March 5, 2003 Buffering is a process by which you pad your posts with exclamation marks to show how bright you are. It stems from the verb "to buff", as applied to shining shoes, the last step in the process that is supposed, when done properly, to put that extra glint&glare in your paraboots.
Guest EGAN Posted March 5, 2003 Report Posted March 5, 2003 Hey, thanks for that ...... at least my day will be better for it !!! :)
Guest Syvwlch Posted March 5, 2003 Report Posted March 5, 2003 Sorry, I have a distinct tendency to lose friends over silly puns like that. :) Anyone know a good LoudMouth Anonymous chapter in the Paris area?
Guest beks Posted March 5, 2003 Report Posted March 5, 2003 A good place to go if you have a lot of time to be browsing the site as it isn't configured to SPVs is www.radiofeeds.co.uk There are a lot of stations here to listen to on the phone. :)
