Guest Hawkes_TFS Posted March 4, 2003 Report Posted March 4, 2003 I had my SPV set up to keypad lock after 5 minutes to stop me forgetting to lock it and have it start "pocket dialing"... I set it up with a really simple code so that it was less likely to become magically unlocked in my pocket. Now, I would like to have the phone automatically keypad lock but have a blank password. (getting to be a pain to use it!) If I try to do this it says that the passwords are not the same even though I have made sure both the fields are properly blank. Is it possible to have a blank password but still use the timed lock? I apologise if this is a stupid question that has been answered before but I couldn't find anything relevant in a search... Hawkes
Guest SirGaz Posted March 4, 2003 Report Posted March 4, 2003 Not tried it but I guess that a password is required. The feature is to lock the phone from others using it, not just to lock the keypad, so the idea is prevent easy access. Why not just use 1 digit?
Guest Bazz Posted March 4, 2003 Report Posted March 4, 2003 Yup. Can't be down. You can either: 1) Keypad Lock manually without a password 2) Device Lock with a password either manually or automatically. You do know that if you set your password to, say 1, then typing 1 and unlock unlocks the phone. You do not have to type unlock, 1 and then unlock
