Guest theodotcom Posted March 4, 2003 Report Posted March 4, 2003 Has anyone managed to put mms and gprs settings from another network into the phone and get it working? If so what settings did you put where, i have all the tmobile manual settings but don't seem to be able to put them in correctly, Any help would be appreciated Thanks
Guest slowphones Posted March 5, 2003 Report Posted March 5, 2003 do a search of the forum and you'll find there's a few threads with the answers you want
Guest theodotcom Posted March 6, 2003 Report Posted March 6, 2003 I've seen a thread that says it can't be done but can't find anything saying otherwise, is that the case?
Guest Richie M Posted March 6, 2003 Report Posted March 6, 2003 Sorry m8, i'm on Orange and there has been 40 views of this thread and no answer :) The only thing i can suggest, 1) phone T-Mobile (you never know) 2) try and find someone on here who's on TMobile and PM them and ask for the settings (try doing a search on TMobile or something) 3) Start a new Topic entitled "T-Mobile MMS settings needed". Good luck
Guest Syvwlch Posted March 6, 2003 Report Posted March 6, 2003 A quick Google search found these settings from another forum : T-Mobile UK MMS APN: general.t-mobile.uk (not .co.uk) Username: user Password: one2one MMS Gateway: 149.254.211.010 MMS Gateway Port: 9201 MMSC: http://mmsc.t-mobile.co.uk:8002 I gather from the discussion itself that these settings have been tried and work, but that T-Mobile MMS is dodgy at times...
Guest theodotcom Posted March 6, 2003 Report Posted March 6, 2003 i have all the correct settings but its just a matter of inputting them to the phone, there are so many different places to input settings on this damn thing, thanks for the help
Guest Syvwlch Posted March 6, 2003 Report Posted March 6, 2003 Ah, sorry. Thought it was the settings you were missing. I'd guess... but can't try it (not living in the UK and don't have a T-Mobile SIM) that the APN, username and password go in the MMS connection you'll have to create in settings/connections (thru the menu/edit). The gateway, portnumber and MMSC address you need to input into the MMS client that's sitting in the accessories folder. This is all theory, as I've never had to do it.
