Guest stevef Posted March 4, 2003 Report Posted March 4, 2003 I wish I had answers once in a while rather than questions! I downloaded Speed reader from the Orange website which came as a winzip file. When uzipped I was not sure where to send it....... to the phone? if so, so which folder? ....... to activesync..... if so where? Other programmes seem to have a default setting to activesync and lead you throught the process :? Thanks
Guest amo Posted March 4, 2003 Report Posted March 4, 2003 If it is a cab file contained within the zip the u can place it anywhere, create a shortcut to that cab file in IPSM>Windows>Start Menu>Accessories Then run it from the accessories folder through the start menu. This installs the cab and replaces the install file. Thats it! If it is an exe contained within the zip file just copy it wherever you want to install it and make a shortcut as explained earlier.
Guest benjymous Posted March 5, 2003 Report Posted March 5, 2003 Or it may just be a straight cab file (which winzip will open) If when you open the "zip" you just see lots of .001 .002 files then it's probably a cab - copy it the way amo described - don't try and unzip it first
Guest Bazz Posted March 5, 2003 Report Posted March 5, 2003 The other possibility is that it's a Desktop Windows installer program which you need to run on your PC to install it onto your phone. HAven't got this app so don't know what the case is.
