Guest Andy_B Posted March 5, 2003 Report Posted March 5, 2003 Help! I am completely new to all this. I got my 2 days ago and tried the update yeasterday. All went well. Went to reboot my phone......................followed all the instructions of battery removed after 30 seconds and then putting it back in and pressing the on button. It then just freezes on the Orange Sunset screen and has been all night. Tried all the suggestins of cleaning SIM card contacts (i think a pencil eraser wa suggested) and still stuck. Any help wopuld be much appreciated. I need a phone by Friday as I am off to France - so in peoples experience if it cannot be fixed would Orange replace it???
Guest scottyboy Posted March 5, 2003 Report Posted March 5, 2003 Hi, Sorry to hear of your problem. Unfortunatly my friend had the same problem with his phone. The SIM worked fine in anothor phone. A phone call to the *helpful* Orange tech support resulted with a replacement handset being sent out. Hope this helps scott
Guest sticky Posted March 5, 2003 Report Posted March 5, 2003 Help! It then just freezes on the Orange Sunset screen and has been all night. ? Mine did this. I was lucky to find someone else with a phone locally, and we copied over the contents of his phone to mine via a memory card and reflashed my entire phone. I'd say just stuff it, call Orange, and get a replacement. As I am in the US, I didn't have that option.
